Surgical Dental Treatment

Orange Coast Cosmetic Dentistry provides dental surgeries to patients who require gum, jawbone, dental implant or any other type of dental surgery.

Dental Surgery

Wisdom Teeth

If your wisdom teeth are impacted, they will need to be extracted. However, not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, as sometimes the third molars will never erupt. If they do, you will need to have them extracted as it can affect your jawbone and gums, and cause problems for your surrounding teeth.

Dental Implants

If you have a missing tooth, Dr. Beverly may recommend dental implants. Implants are titanium posts that your Orange County Cosmetic Dentist will surgically place in or on your jawbone. Once the bone has fused to the post, you will be ready for your new artificial teeth. Your new replacement teeth will be as strong as your old teeth and give you your self-confidence back.

Biopsy

If a problem is detected during your comprehensive oral exam by Dr. Beverly and her team, a biopsy will be taken to check for any abnormalities. A small piece of the lesion will be sent to the lab to examine for any signs of oral cancer.

Jaw Surgery

If your jaw is out of alignment, you may need jaw surgery. If your jaw isn’t sitting where it should, it could cause problems with function and appearance.

Gum Surgery

According to your cosmetic dentist in Orange, there are a few different types of gum surgery that include:

Reconstructive Surgery

Facial trauma, a knocked out tooth or other problems with your mouth may require reconstructive surgery.

Sleep Apnea

For patients who have severe sleep apnea or for people who haven’t been helped CPAP therapy, a more conventional therapy for sleep apnea, surgery may be an option as it removes the excess tissue at the back of your throat, which has been known to reduce the symptoms of sleep apnea.
